Maths Retriever Privacy Policy

Maths Retriever is an iPad mathematics-learning app. This policy explains the information processed when you use its optional AI features.

Information processed

Depending on the feature, Maths Retriever may process question and rubric text, a page image containing handwriting, marking feedback, generated educational content, and mistake summaries. Do not include names or other personal information in your work.

Why it is processed

This information is used only to provide the requested marking, hint, worked solution, question generation, mistake analysis, or diagram response; to prevent abuse; and to enforce subscriptions, quotas and spending limits.

Service providers and routing

AI requests go to the authenticated Maths Retriever service and then to approved AI model providers. Those routes request zero data retention and disallow prompt training.

Storage and retention

Handwriting, questions, answers, prompts and raw AI replies are not written to ordinary Maths Retriever server logs, analytics or quota tables. Pseudonymous security, subscription, quota, timing, model-class and cost metadata is retained to operate and protect the service. A successful encrypted response may be buffered for at most 15 minutes so an interrupted app can retrieve it without another paid model call; the app acknowledges and deletes that buffer as soon as it receives the result.

Nothing is shared with other users

Maths Retriever has no social, messaging, profile or community feature, and nothing you write, photograph or generate is shown to another user. Questions and worked solutions generated for you are delivered to your iPad and are not kept on the server afterwards for anyone else to receive. There is no shared or community question pool: every question in the app either shipped inside the app or was generated for you.

On-device work and deletion

Saved work remains on the iPad unless you create a backup or send content for an AI request. The in-app Erase all saved work control deletes Maths Retriever's local saved-work copy. You can stop AI processing by not using AI features.

Children and education use

Maths Retriever is an educational tool and is not intended to collect names, contact details or advertising profiles. It does not sell personal information, use third-party advertising, or track users across other companies' apps and websites.
